DC has a cool bike share program where you can rent bikes and ride them and there are a ton of bike stations. its pretty neat!  only bad news. today’s like the hottest day I’ve lived through :/ supposedly its like 100 degrees F so I guess I won’t ride the bike home. But Monday! here I come! and man its so sad. My lovely supervisor Moira is...

Supreme Court Ruling →
As much as I find fed stuff to be overly bureaucratic and a wasteful game of politics, it’s actually kind of cool to be interning for something so closely related to obamacare.  Although I’m still just sitting in my cubicle looking through all the programs of my office to compile a list of acronyms for a working group to create this actually really awesome social networking analysis...

Message from the Secretary of HHS
Dear HHS employees, As most of you already know, earlier this morning the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act.   I’m so proud of the incredible work our department has done over the last two years to begin to implement the law.  Thanks in large part to you, millions of hard-working families across the country are now getting the security of affordable health coverage and care they...

Robert Reich: Why the Supreme Court Will Uphold... →
robertreich: Predictions are always hazardous when it comes to the economy, the weather, and the Supreme Court. I won’t get near the first two right now, but I’ll hazard a guess on what the Court is likely to decide tomorrow: It will uphold the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) by a vote… Hopefully tomorrow will be a day of celebration. I mean, the legislation...

why does snowball have to be the one to lose out.
internships feels just like school sometimes. here I am procrastinating away.  at least I kind of get a bit of satisfaction knowing that this fact sheet may or may not get read by people and contributes to the work of our federal government. such a joke. this fact is supposed to reach to individuals with disabilities and other at-risk individuals but it will probably only get read by other...

sas- portlandia
so I missed portlandia at sasquatch this year due to a confused chika and a sabrina that really wanted to see a pregnant woman and man (not the father) sing on stage. haha jk sorry I should give them more credit: the Civil Wars are great.  so I decided to youtube them just now, and dude they weren’t funny at all. so sad because their show is hilarious. particularly the first episode....

dr. chow.
today I signed a contract saying that I wouldn’t use sudafed to make speed. but man this stuff totally just keeps you awake and not hungry.  and I also found out that I have low blood pressure 99/66. ugh, no wonder I always feel so dizzy.  I really should start eating more than one meal a day.

friendship bracelet
is my life as ridiculous as I think it is?  been out of touch with reality for about 2 weeks but I guess you know you’re back when you become attached to your phone checking for texts every 30 seconds.  I hate that feeling. just want to chuck my phone out the window.  2 goodbyes to the closest people in my life. at least I know that one will always be there for me.
